Group Mentor – Ms. Geetika Grover
Group Members- Prithvi Lal, Aarnav Khanna, Nikunj Satyamurthy, Adit Dua, Sidhant Garg
"Poverty is a global issue that is widespread. Poverty is lack of certain level of material possessions and money.
Children across the globe are dying of malnutrition. It deprives people of their basic needs or requirements. Poverty is fueled by many major/minor issues like Corruption, Population Explosion, Government Policies, Unemployment etc. Fighting Poverty should be at the core for each and every individual as all people living in this world must have access to basic daily requirement i.e. food, shelter, clothes and medical facilities. Education is one of the major tools that can help eradicate poverty from this globe. But before that we need to create more job opportunities and skills for the ones who are illiterate and are below the poverty line to be able to feed their families in a better way".

Women's Rights

Mentor: Mr.Praveen Bhatt
Mentees: Diya, Gouri, Nanki, Nysa, Riya
"When it was time to pick the topic for the PYP Exhibition, I picked ‘women’s rights’. I thought many people have done something about women’s rights in the city but not many have thought about the village. We inquired about ‘roles women play’ and ways in which we can ‘celebrate women’. Our group decided to make guiding question to guide us through the inquiry: Are we raising awareness about women’s rights? Every week we came back to this question to see what actions we have taken/planned".

My group is going on a field trip to learn more about stray dogs. We as a group are making DIY bags – humans want to look fancy with a bag covered with animal skin".

Equality in Education

Mentor: Ms.Shubhra Rana
Mentees: Chirag, Sora, Ojas and Himanshu
"When it was time to choose a PYP exhibition topic which was also relevant to the society, I chose Education. I chose this topic because everyone has a talent. Education is the best way to nurture talent and make their life special. School can give very important experience and mile stones in life. I believe without education a big part of life is empty.
I am doing this exhibition along with 3 of my friends. We have done research and work on the 1st line of inquiry. And identified the gaps in our knowledge. We have researched facts and collected information to raise awareness using different media. We have started making a movie that shows facts on our 1st line of inquiry.
We have identified a guest speaker who runs a school for under privileged children. We are also visiting her school and interacting with the students there. We have our questions ready to interview our guest speaker. This should help us to do our work on 2nd line of inquiry".

“We are the Climate Changers and here is what we do- We stop pollution and reduce global warming too”
We believe that people don’t care about climate change even though there is so much proof. A lot of people just say that climate change does not matter and we should just adapt to it. Climate change is caused by us and it is our job to help stop it. There has been a big change in the weather patterns and natural disasters are occurring more often. We think that climate change is an issue that needs immediate attention. That is the reason why we are going to plant trees around our school which in turn will help reduce the damage caused by the climate cycle". - Eshan & Karamvir
